ABOUT US

suncorp Suncorp Insurance

Suncorp is Australia’s largest general insurance group in terms of gross written premium. The key to Suncorp’s success in general insurance is its portfolio of leading personal and commercial insurance brands.

AAMI, GIO, Suncorp, Vero, Apia and Shannons are some of the brands in the Suncorp Group that have built reputations for insurance innovation and customer service.

Our brands sell their products direct or through intermediaries such as brokers.

Suncorp Personal Insurance products include motor, home and contents, travel, boat, motorbike, caravan and compulsory third party insurance. Some of our personal insurance brands are designed to meet the needs of broad numbers of customers; others tailor their products and service to meet the needs of specific groups of customers.

Suncorp is a major provider of compulsory third party insurance. This is usually sold on purchase of a new vehicle or on renewal of registration.

Suncorp Life is our life insurance, superannuation and investment, asset management and financial advice division. With over 1100 employees, we service more than 570,000 customers in Australia and New Zealand. Suncorp Life’s products and services are provided by the leading brands – Asteron ( life insurance); and Suncorp (life insurance, superannuation and investments). Our financial advice brands include Guardian Financial Planning and Cameron Walshe.

Get a good deal more with Suncorp CTP Insurance

For most of us, CTP Insurance is something we think about once a year when our rego comes up for renewal. We know we have to have it. But just what is it and what does it do?

CTP Insurance covers you by providing compensation to other people injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by a negligent driver. Those ‘other people’ could be other drivers, passengers (in your car and other vehicles), pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists – basically anybody hurt as a result of the accident, except you, if you’re the at fault driver.

When you choose Suncorp CTP, you get a good deal more for your money.

Here’s how you get a good deal more with Suncorp CTP Insurance

* Driver Protection Cover, at no extra cost for eligible customers
* Access to an advisory team of health care and rehabilitation professionals
* An efficient claims process with over 70 years experience
* The knowledge that you’re helping us in our support of Youngcare

Driver Protection Cover includes:

* up to $2 million in benefits for specified serious injuries to eligible “at-fault” drivers if the motor vehicle is    comprehensively insured with Suncorp;
* up to $1 million in benefits for specific serious injuries to eligible at-fault drivers, where the vehicle is not comprehensively insured with Suncorp and the driver is aged 25 years or over; and
* a lump sum of $5,000 which may assist in paying medical or rehabilitation costs, if in our opinion, following a preliminary assessment of the claim, the “at fault” driver is eligible or is likely to be eligible for DPC benefits.

The road to recovery after a serious accident can be long. Time away from work, loss of income and meeting everyday expenses can become an added stress. That’s why Suncorp CTP is a small price to pay for the additional protection that comes with it.

Information

Everything you need to know about Suncorp Driver Protection Cover is included in the Driver Protection Cover Policy wording.

You can help by reporting any suspected insurance fraud to our dedicated hotline on 1300 881 725 or by completing our suspected insurance fraud report. Let’s work together to reduce the impact of insurance fraud on the community.

Motor insurance has the highest suspected level of insurance fraud. Motor insurance fraud can be committed through staged accidents and re-birthing of vehicles. More information and tips are available to avoid becoming a victim of motor insurance fraud.
